Verdejo

Implanted by the Mozarabs that left African lands and passed through Al-Andalus to Castile, where they settled. Their baggage carried the Verdejo Blanco, a vine brought from far-off Algaida.

With a spreading habit, somewhat irregular orbicular leaf, and hairless reverse with pronounced dark green ribbing and small thick-skinned racemes that give the musts of whites a high concentration of extracts as a whole.
